I always seem to come home from surf trips with lots of photos of board loading .. does this mean I am standing around watching and not helping?

After a night in Stone town at the gorgeous yet bargainsome Coffee House I headed to Kendwa.   3 days alone on a paradise beach with only 4 cameras for company.

Return to the Magical Spice Island

Lucky me, in October I was sent to Dar es Salaam for a workshop.  It would have been foolish not to take a quick hop over to the magical spice island so I quickly found myself on a precision air flight to Stonetown.  Flight is an overstatement.. the air hostess starts the safety briefing as we taxi down the runway and as soon as she has finished telling us where the emergency exits are, we are preparing our seats for landing.

Stonetown is almost too much for the senses so I turned my desire to photograph everything off for a bit and headed to the town beach for sunset. Orange topped boats glowing in the dipping sun, a beach swarming with noise, football games, kids playing in the sea .. ok so I still took a couple of shots!
