i was slightly horrified when a friend told me at the weekend that they hadn't seen me take any holgas for ages and thought my photography was 'evolving' ... so this is for you, its coming back out to play ;)

Return to the Magical Spice Island

Lucky me, in October I was sent to Dar es Salaam for a workshop.  It would have been foolish not to take a quick hop over to the magical spice island so I quickly found myself on a precision air flight to Stonetown.  Flight is an overstatement.. the air hostess starts the safety briefing as we taxi down the runway and as soon as she has finished telling us where the emergency exits are, we are preparing our seats for landing.

Stonetown is almost too much for the senses so I turned my desire to photograph everything off for a bit and headed to the town beach for sunset. Orange topped boats glowing in the dipping sun, a beach swarming with noise, football games, kids playing in the sea .. ok so I still took a couple of shots!
